Mr. Hj Sheikh Omar, Chairman of the Malaysian Pineapple Industry Board (LPNM), together with Datuk Jay, Datuk Rosli, Mr. Khairul Anuar (CEO of MATE Clove), Mr. Noor Izwady (President of PPNM), Mr. Hj Fawwas (Head of the Samarahan LPNM Area Branch), and their delegation, conducted a series of visits across Sarawak as part of the preliminary work for JG Sarava Sdn. Bhd.’s large-scale pineapple project. In Bintangor, they met with representatives of the Persatuan Anak Melayu Bintangor (PAMB) involving 500 registered farmers for a 1000-acre plantation initiative. The team also visited farmers in the Sungai Mata and Sungai Moyan areas of Samarahan District, covering over 500 hectares, to discuss fruit procurement efforts. In Debak, Betong District, discussions were held with local plantation participants and the Debak Cooperative to explore a joint venture for a new 900-hectare pineapple farm. Additionally, in Mukah, the delegation engaged with representatives of the Sg Kut Oya Lot 1 Farmers Group, covering 1120 hectares and involving 224 farmers, along with discussions in Mukah, Dalat, and Oya to further expand the pineapple cultivation efforts in the region.
